Scoliosis is a disorder that causes an abnormal curve of the spine, or backbone. The spine has normal curves when looking from the side, but it should appear straight when looking from the front.
Scoliosis is a medical condition in which a person's spine is curved from side to side.
The curvature can be moderate to severe. Any part of the spine can be bent in scoliosis; but the most common regions are the chest area or the lower part of the back.
Signs and symptoms of Scoliosis are following :-
• Uneven musculature on one side of the spine
• A rib prominence and/or a prominent shoulder blade, caused by rotation of the ribcage in thoracic scoliosis
• Uneven hips, arms or leg lengths
